City of Dreams Mediterranean in Cyprus is recruiting staff including croupiersMainly present in the Asian and European continents, the Melco Resorts & Entertainment group is currently working on the development of its ambitious City of Dreams Mediterranean hotel-casino project.

Budgeted at 550 million euros, the latter is due to open its doors during the second quarter of 2023.

In order to fill more than 1,000 positions at this gaming establishment under construction in the coastal city of Limassol on the island of Cyprus, it has just launched a brand new recruitment campaign. Moreover, the recruitment of staff is not new and has been going on for several months. Highly diverse positions at an employer that will become one of the country’s leading employers

On Tuesday, October 18, 2022, the Melco Resorts & Entertainment group held an open house near its future City of Dreams Mediterranean hotel-casino with the aim of starting a new recruitment campaign.

In total, there are more than 1,000 jobs available with very diverse positions including croupiers , slot machine attendants and cashiers of course, but also servers, bartenders, cooks and restaurant managers among others.

It’s worth noting that when its gaming establishment finally opens in the second quarter of next year, Melco Resorts & Entertainment will become one of the country’s largest employers. Since investing in human capital is one of the group’s most important aspects, the scale of this new recruitment campaign is understandable.

Moreover, it’s not the first time. Last Friday, February 25th, for example, he had already organized a job fair at the Melco Cyprus Career Centre located in the city of Limassol.

Some details about the City of Dreams Mediterranean project

City of Dreams Mediterranean was originally scheduled to open during the 2022 summer season in Limassol, Cyprus’s second largest city. However, it will not open until the second quarter of 2023.

Extremely ambitious, this complex is expected to be the largest of its kind in Europe. It will house a 16-story, five-star hotel with over 500 luxury rooms and suites, 10,000 m² of meeting and convention space, an open-air amphitheater, a family adventure park, restaurants, and shops.

Its actual gaming room will cover an area of ​​7,500 m² and offer 1,000 slot machines and around a hundred tables dedicated to traditional games.

Melco Resorts & Entertainment also present in Macau and the Philippines

Founded in 2004 in Hong Kong, Melco Resorts & Entertainment is licensed in Macau, where it operates Altira Macau and Studio City Macau. It also operates in the Philippines with City of Dreams Manila in the capital.

Of the more than 20,000 people employed by the group, 700 already work on the island of Cyprus. Most of them are citizens of this Mediterranean island.
